Women’s Tennis to Open Season Against Grambling

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Women's Tennis team begins its 2020 season with a busy weekend taking on Grambling at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 and hosting Prairie View A&M for a doubleheader at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19. The tennis team is riding a streak of winning its last six opening season matches.
The Ragin' Cajuns are set to return a majority of their team from last season which includes, Floriane Picaut who played No. 1 singles for almost the whole season last year. Picaut complied an 8-8 record while playing No. 1 singles and owned the most Sun Belt match wins on the team last season with three.
Aside from Picaut, Dana Radovanovic, Hoda Habib and Clara Mantaux are back after playing in 12 or more matches last season. AK Harvey, Natalia Nassar and Marina Rodriguez Garcia return to the team as well.
The Ragin' Cajuns welcome three new faces to their program in Pitt transfer Mariona Perez Noguera, freshman Lucie Raquin and recent enrollee Angel Santiago.
