Cajuns to be paired with Southern Miss, Troy, Samford in Monday's 36 holes

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Coming off a disappointing finish in its season opener last week, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team heads east to compete at the Graeme McDowell Invitational that begins play on Monday at Greystone Golf and Country Club.
 
The first day of the 54-hole tournament will begin on Monday at 8:30 a.m., with a 36-hole shotgun start. The final 18 holes on the par-72, 7,299-yard course will be played on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. Live results will be available at RaginCajuns.com.
 
Louisiana will be joined in the 19-team field by host UAB, along with Sun Belt Conference schools No. 35-ranked Arkansas State, Troy and ULM. Also competing in the field is No. 17-ranked South Carolina, No. 19 North Florida, Memphis, High Point, Chattanooga, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, Wofford, Nicholls State, Samford, Winthrop, Southern Miss, Jacksonville State and Lipscomb.
 
Jack Tolson, who recorded his seventh career top-20 finish at last week's Lone Star Invitational, will lead the Ragin' Cajuns in their second event of the fall season. The Opelousas native will be joined in Louisiana's five-man lineup by Peter Hinnant, Hudson Dubinski and Charlie Flynn with Mississippi State transfer Hunter Hammett set to make his Ragin' Cajuns debut.
 
In its season-opener, Louisiana posted a 54-hole team score of 903 to finish in ninth place.
