The Ragin' Cajuns (17-17, 6-6) have already faced both teams once this season, dropping a heartbreaker to the Bulldogs in Ruston, 3-2, on February 20, before winning a thriller over the Cowboys in Lake Charles, 16-10, on March 6. The team currently boasts a 6-3 record over in-state opponents.

Louisiana picked up two crucial wins in last Saturday's doubleheader against Arkansas State to clinch the series victory over the Sun Belt's hottest team. Austin Perrin and Brandon Young each went 7.0 innings during the doubleheader sweep, combining to allow just one run on seven hits and 19 strikeouts. Thirteen of those punch outs belonged to Young, who was named the LSWA Pitcher of the Week for his effort.

Cantrelle has continued his hot play with a seven-game hitting streak and extended his on-base streak to 34 games. Todd Lott is also swinging the bat well, hitting .333 (33-for-99) on the year.

Sophomore Logan Savoy (1-0, 0.77 ERA) will get the start for Louisiana on Tuesday night, while Wednesday's starter is still listed as TBA.

Louisiana Tech (21-10, 8-4) will put its seven-game winning streak on the line on Tuesday, with its most recent victories a sweep over UTSA. Mason Mallard leads the way for the Bulldogs with a .381 average (45-for-118) in 31 starts. The Bulldogs will start left-handed pitcher David Leal (0-0, 7.71 ERA).

Shane Selman is the top offensive performer for the Cowboys with 39 hits, 14 of which have been for extra bases, in 123 at bats. The Cowboys have not announced a starter.

Louisiana leads the all-time series over Louisiana Tech, 80-67, with each side winning five games in the last 10 meetings. The Ragin' Cajuns hold the advantage in the series over McNeese State, 96-64, and have won the last five matchups dating back to 2017.
