Louisiana paired with Texas State, UTA in second round
MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – Micah Goulas fired a 1-under 70 on Sunday to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team after the first day at the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Men's Golf Championships at the Raven Golf Club at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
Second-round action on the par-71, 6,823-yard course begins at 7:30 a.m. Louisiana, in 11th place after recording a team score of 8-over 292, will be paired with Texas State and UT Arlington and will tee off from the No. 1 tee beginning at 8:15 a.m.
Live results will be available at GolfStat.com, with live video from holes 1, 9, 10 and 18, being broadcast live on ESPN+.
Goulas, making his debut at the SBC Championships, opened the round with birdies at 10 and 11 for Louisiana before ending the day with birdies on two of his final four holes. The New Iberia, La., native finished the day tied for 14th place and four strokes behind first-round leader Luka Naglic of Arkansas State.
Jack Tolson and Peter Hinnant each carded rounds of 2-over 73 for the Ragin' Cajuns with freshmen Hudson Dubinski (76) and Charlie Flynn (78) rounding out the field.
Coastal Carolina and Little Rock each posted team rounds of 6-under 278 to claim the first-day lead. Georgia Southern (279) and No. 28-ranked Arkansas State (281) were third and fourth, respectively, after the first round with Texas State, UTA, Georgia State and ULM all tied for fifth at 282.
