Williams' PR In Hammer Throw Leads Cajuns At Florida Relays

Dominique Williams recorded the second-best mark in school history in the men's hammer throw and led a trio of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns to a top-15 finish in the event during the opening day of the Pepsi Florida Relays on Thursday at Percy Beard Track, located inside James G. Pressly Stadium.
 
Richard Delphin added a seventh-place finish for the Ragin' Cajuns with Graham Sokol finishing 13th.
 
Williams, who entered the meet with a personal-best mark (187-4) set earlier this month, posted a throw of 193-8 to move behind school-record holder Justin Victor (219-8, 2015) on the Ragin' Cajuns career list.
 
Delphin, who previously set the second-best mark (190-9) in school history last month, posted a throw of 186-9 with Sokol, competing in his hometown, recording a mark of 177-1.
 
Action in the three-day meet resumes on Friday at 9 a.m., (CDT) before the final day starts on Saturday at 8 a.m. Fans can watch the meet on Friday (12-4 p.m., CT) and Saturday (1:30-6:45 p.m., CT) via SEC Network Plus and the WatchESPN app. Live results are available at RaginCajuns.com.
