62854GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Freshman Hannes Burger posted one of four top-20 finishes for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team after a 15th-place performance in the men's 1,500-meters on Friday at the Pepsi Florida Relays at Percy Beard Track, located inside James G. Pressly Stadium.
 
Burger, making his 2019 debut in the 1,500 meters, crossed the finish line in 3 minutes, 50.30 seconds to record the fourth-fastest time in school history and the best time in the Sun Belt Conference this season. Teammate Jonathan Kimutai finished 16th overall for Louisiana in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a season-best time (9:36.77) and moving up to No. 3 on the Sun Belt Conference Performance List.
 
Stanley Limoh clocked a season-best time of 1:53.10 in the men's 800-meters to post the fourth-best time in the Sun Belt Conference during the outdoor season, with Tyler Hughes recording a time of 14.86 in the 110-meter hurdles and the men's 4x400-meter relay team posted a time of 3:19.36.
 
Louisiana's Richard Delphin earned a top-20 finish in the men's discus after finishing 18th overall (148-0). In the women's javelin, Louisiana's Claire Meyers finished fourth in her flight and 15th overall after posting a throw of 137-6.
 
In the women's 1,500-meters, Teresa Bruning (4:55.08) and Hailey Hesterman (4:58.90) each posted season-bests for the Ragin' Cajuns.
