LAFAYETTE – After a week off, Louisiana Men's Tennis (9-2) continued its winning ways, taking its third straight match with a 4-0 win over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles (2-2) Saturday, afternoon at Cajun Courts.
Senior Arthur Libaud, junior Jamie Fraser and freshman Jan Galka all got wins in singles to power Louisiana to victory. During the three singles wins, the Ragin' Cajuns did not drop a set, and with the doubles point gained, Louisiana had a dominating performance at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Doubles): Louisiana came out and took the doubles point to get the match off to a strong start with Galka and freshman Kacper Dworak taking down the Southern Miss' pairing of Chung-Han Tsai and Mieszko Kwasniewski 6-2 at No. 2 doubles. Louisiana's other win came at No. 1 doubles with Libaud and junior Pearse Dolan teaming up to take down Jorman Reyes and Ronit Bisht, 6-1, and the two wins in doubles meant that Louisiana took a 1-0 lead into singles play.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Singles): Galka got a win for Louisiana at No. 2 singles, taking down Southern Miss' Matthieu Peres in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 to give Louisiana a win near the top of the lineup. At No. 5 Libaud got himself a straight set win over Yousseff Tamimount, 6-2, 7-5 and Fraser rounded out Louisiana's wins across the board with a dominating straight set win at No. 6, 6-0, 6-1, over Panji Setiawen.
Louisiana's three wins at singles locked up its third straight win, 4-0, as Louisiana's strong start to the 2019 campaign contunied.

UP NEXT FOR THE CAJUNS: Louisiana stays at the friendly confines of Cajun Courts for its next three matches, when on Friday, Feb. 15 Louisiana opens up the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational. Louisiana will play Alcorn State and Texas A&M – Corpus Christi on Feb. 15 and Northern Arizona on Saturday, Feb. 16.
