Libaud And Dolan Knock Off No. 27 Duo In The Country In @RaginCajunsMT 4-0 Win Over NAU

Senior Arthur Libaud and junior Pearse Dolan took down the No. 27 doubles pair in the country in a dominating win for Louisiana

LAFAYETTE – Powered by senior Arthur Libaud and junior Pearse Dolan taking down the No. 27 doubles duo in the country, Louisiana Men's Tennis (11-3) ended the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational on a high note, dominating Northern Arizona (3-4) in a 4-0 win to finish the weekend at Cajun Courts 2-1.

Libaud and Dolan's win over Northern Arizona's Tim Handel and Ruben Montano got Louisiana started while wins in singles by junior Jamie Fraser, Libaud and a clinching win at No. 6 by freshman Kacper Dworak highlighted a solid performance by Louisiana.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Doubles): Libuad and Dolan, playing the No. 27 duo of Handel and Montano, controlled their match at No. 1 doubles, taking down the nationally ranked duo, 6-3, to get Louisiana off to a fast start.  The freshmen duo of Jan Galka and Dworak locked up the doubles point for Louisiana at No. 2 with a 6-4 win over Thomas Fisher and Chris Steele to give Louisiana a 1-0 lead heading into singles.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Singles): Louisiana's dominance of Northern Arizona continued into singles with the Ragin' Cajuns taking the next three matches without dropping a set to win the match.  Fraser got Louisiana its first win at No. 5 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Fisher to put Louisiana up 2-0.

The next win came from Libaud, who's solid day continued in singles, and the Louisiana senior took down Facundo Tumosa, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 4 to put Louisiana on the brink of victory.  At No. 6, the clinching point would come from Dworak, who battled through a hotly contested first set to take down Montano, 7-5, 6-4, to finish off the 4-0 win for Louisiana.

UP NEXT FOR THE CAJUNS: Louisiana next hits the road as they head to the 53rd Annual HEB Tournament of Champions in Corpus Christi, Texas from Friday, Feb. 22 through Saturday, Feb. 23.
