Keremedchiev Heads to USTA Futures in Naples, Fla.

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Men's Tennis is sending Ivailo Keremedchiev to compete in the USTA Pro Event in Naples, Fla., starting on Sunday, Oct. 27.
Keremedchiev earned a spot in the singles qualifying draw and will compete against Vladislav Melnic from Cornell University.
"Again, this strength of competition will help prepare Ivailo and help build his ATP career for the future," head coach Mark Jeffrey explained. "We have a strong growth mentality for the future with our players that commit to our University and that is to help them make the transition to the professional ranks as seamless as possible."
Keremedchiev has had a solid fall opening the slate making a deep run into the main draw of the USTA Futures in Fayetteville, Ark.
"Ivailo is building and growing, he is doing these things before our eyes," Jeffrey explained. "He is already a different player than when he first came to our University two months ago. We are going to make sure that change keeps happening so he can grow his game for the future."
