Game two of the series is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, while first pitch of the series finale will be at 12 p.m. CT on Sunday.

The Series
Louisiana is 8-1 all-time against Georgia State having won the last five games in the series. The Ragin' Cajuns and Panthers last meeting came in 2016 as the Cajuns swept the series at home. Louisiana is 2-1 against Georgia State at the GSU Baseball Complex.
Scouting Louisiana
Louisiana (24-19, 10-8 SBC) is coming off of a pair of midweek wins over Louisiana Tech 9-4 and New Orleans 8-6. The Ragin' Cajuns have won nine of their last 11 contests and are 12-3 since starting the second half of the season including a 7-2 mark in league play.
Senior Kennon Fontenot continues to ride a 23-game on base streak for the Cajuns. Fontenot is hitting .341 (28-for-82) with a .438 on base percentage and 16 RBI during the streak.
Junior Daniel Lahare paces the club hitting .311 with seven doubles, two triples, three home runs and 15 RBI, while junior Gavin Bourgeois has driven in six of his 22 RBI this week and is second on the team with a .285 average.
Senior Colten Schmidt leads the Sun Belt with a 1.36 ERA in a conference-best 73.0 innings pitched. Schmidt ranks sixth in the nation in WHIP (0.78) and 13th in ERA.
Scouting Georgia State
Georgia State (20-20, 6-11 SBC) comes into the series having defeated Savannah State 9-5 in the midweek. The Panthers dropped two of three last weekend at Coastal Carolina despite winning the opening game of the series 3-2.
GSU currently ranks third in the SBC in offense hitting .267 with 63 doubles, six triples and 32 home runs while averaging 5.5 runs per game. Georgia State also ranks eighth in the league in fielding with a .968 percentage and tenth in pitching with a 5.26 ERA.
Right-hander Hunter Gaddis leads the Sun Belt with seven victories and ranks third in ERA at 2.39.
Offensively, Nick Gatewood ranks top 10 in the SBC in a number of categories as he is second with a .373 average including eight doubles, 11 home runs and 40 RBI.
