LAFAYETTE – After four matches on the road, where the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team went an impressive 3-1, the Cajuns finally return home for only their third match of the season at Cajun Courts when they welcome in the Jackson State Tigers for a Saturday doubleheader on Feb. 17.

WHEN IT ALL GOES DOWN: The first match of the doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and the second half of the twin bill will get started at 1 p.m., shortly after the conclusion of the first match.

CAJUNS ARE ROAD WARRIORS: Louisiana enters this weekend's action with a 7-5 record, having played eight of those matches on the road, where they've gone 4-4.  The Cajuns have made visits to No. 17 Florida State, Rice, LSU and No. 24 Texas Tech, all within the first two months of the season.  Their only home matches were a doubleheader sweep of Xavier (La.) who sit at No. 2 in the NAIA on Jan. 26.

LOUISIANA TAKES DOWN REIGNING ATLANTIC-10 CHAMPS: The Cajuns went into Richmond, Va., and took down the 2017 A-10 Champion VCU Rams, 4-3, in a match that came down to sophomore Elio Lago clinching things at No. 5 in straight sets to give the Cajuns the big win.  Louisiana got the doubles point, with wins from sophomore Pierce Dolan and freshman Nico Sojka along with junior Arthur Libaud and sophomore Jamie Fraser.  In singles Lago was joined by Libaud, at No. 1, and Dolan, No. 4, in getting the Cajuns wins for the Cajuns as they finished off their Virginia road swing on a positive note.

KRAMAROV GETS SBC PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Cajuns senior Vlad Kramarov, who's been off to a great start, was named the first Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week during the past week.  Kramarov has gone 8-3 in singles and 3-3 in doubles playing primarily near the top of the Cajuns lineup.  He won seven straight matches during the first month and a half of the season, and he clinched things for the Cajuns at UTSA on Feb. 2.

Kramarov's biggest win came in doubles, when himself and Lago took down the No. 22 ranked doubles pair of Aziz Kijametovic and Francois Musitelli from Old Dominion on Feb. 10 in Norfolk, Va.  The Cajuns duo controlled the match and came away with a 6-3 win, taking down a pair that had beaten the then ranked No. 15 doubles pair in the country earlier in the season and had only lost one match before falling to Kramarov and Lago.

WHAT THE TIGERS BRING: The Tigers, who play a match in Jackson, Miss. against the University of New Orleans on Friday, Feb. 16, before heading down to Lafayette, enter the weekend's action sitting at 0-7.  They've been outscored in their matches 32-4, but they did open their season against two SEC opponents playing Alabama on Jan. 13 in Tuscaloosa, Al., and Auburn on Jan. 14 in Auburn, Al.

The Cajuns have faced off with Jackson State at least once every season going back to 2012 and the Cajuns haven't dropped a match during that stretch going 7-0 against the Tigers over the past six seasons.  Five of those have been on Cajun Courts, with the only trip to Jackson being in 2016 where the Cajuns won the doubleheader against the Tigers by a combined score of 12-2.
