    LOUISIANA GAME NOTES
    THE MATCHUP
  • Louisiana Football looks to punch its ticket to the inaugural Sun Belt Conference Championship Game, as the Ragin' Cajuns only need to win over ULM to be in.
    LOUISIANA VS. ULM
  • Louisiana and ULM will play for the 54th time in program history when the Ragin' Cajuns head to Monroe to take on the Warhawks.
  • ULM is the third-most common opponent that Louisiana has faced in school history.
  • This is the 22nd-straight season that Louisiana and ULM have faced each other on the gridiron and it is the 13th meeting between the two schools when both are Sun Belt Conference members.
    A RAGIN' CAJUNS VICTORY WOULD
  • Punch Louisiana's ticket to the inaugural Sun Belt Conference Championship Game, to be played on Dec. 1 at either Appalachian State or Troy, depending on the outcome of the meeting between App State and Troy this weekend.
  • Lock-up Louisiana's first winning season in three years, and give Louisiana at least seven wins for the first time since 2014.
  • Give Louisiana its fourth win over ULM in the last five meetings between the two schools.
    NOSE FOR THE ENDZONE
  • Sophomore running back Elijah Mitchell ran for 104 yards and scored three touchdowns on the ground in Louisiana's 48-38 win over South Alabama on Nov. 17.
  • Mitchell's great performance on the ground gave him four games with at least 100 yards on the ground, and it was the third game this season that Mitchell has run for at least 100 yards and scored three touchdowns on the ground in a single game.
  • Mitchell's three rushing touchdowns, the most in a single game in the conference, was the sixth-time that a Sun Belt runner scored at least three touchdowns in a single game, with Mitchell having done it three out of the six times.
  • The three rushing touchdowns gave Mitchell 12 rushing touchdowns on the season, which ties him for the lead in the conference and ranks him 17th in the nation.
    BRADLEY HIGH-POINTS IT
  • During the first half, Bradley caught three touchdown passes, a career-high, and tied a school record in the process.
  • Bradley becomes one of now six Ragin' Cajuns to have completed the feat, the last being Jason Chery at North Texas in 2008.
  • Its not only the most touchdown receptions in a single game by a member of the Sun Belt Conference this season, it gives Bradley nine touchdown receptions on the season, which puts him one away from tying the school record for most touchdown receptions in a single season, 10, set twice by Dave Oliver (1976) and Donald Richard (1996).
    CAJUN FIELD PRODUCES WINS
  • This season, Louisiana has gone 5-1 at Cajun Field, giving the Ragin' Cajuns five wins at home, the most since the 1987 season when Louisiana went 5-0 at home.
  • Since beating New Mexico State on Oct. 13, during Homecoming, Louisiana has won four-straight games at home, giving the Ragin' Cajuns the best in-season home winning streak since 1995.
  • Louisiana has outscored opponents 274-188 over the six home games played this season and they have outgained their opponents 3,175-2,537 over the six games.
    KNOCKING ON 1,000
  • Sophomore running back Trey Ragas, who ran for 53 yards against South Alabama, sits at 925 yards on the season, putting him 75 yards away from 1,000 on the season.
  • It would be the first time Ragas has reached the mark in his career, and the first time since the 2016 season, when Elijah McGuire ran for 1,127 yards, that Louisiana will have a 1,000-yard rusher.
  • Ragas would become only the second back in the conference to run for 1,000 yards this season, with Troy's B.J. Smith having reached the mark last week against Texas State.
    40 YARDS AND STILL GOING
  • Louisiana has had some long runs this season, some of the longest runs in the FBS, and it shows when looking at runs over 40-plus yards.
  • Mitchell has six runs for over 40-plus yards on the season and junior running back Raymond Calais has five giving Louisiana two running backs in the Top-5 in the FBS for runs over 40-plus yards.
  • With Mitchell and Calais sitting among the Top-5 it means that Louisiana is the only team in the nation that has two running backs in the Top-5 that have at least five runs over 40-plus yards.
    NUNEZ TOSSES A FEW
  • Senior quarterback Andre Nunez has passed for 1,903 yards and tossed 16 touchdown passes this season, adding three to his total during Louisiana's win against South Alabama.
  • Nunez's 1,903 yards surpasses last year's team season high of 1,386 thrown by Jordan Davis and if he gets at least 97 yards at ULM on Saturday, Nunez will become only the second Louisiana quarterback in the past four seasons to throw for at least 2,000 yards in a single season.
  • Nunez's completion percentage through the first 11 games is 65.4 percent which, entering the game at ULM, puts him tied for the school record for completion percentage in a single game, set by Terrance Broadway (2012).
LOUISIANA CAN RUSH LONGER THEN MOST
  • Through the season, the Ragin' Cajuns have had 13 rushing plays that have gone for 40-plus yards.  That ties them for second in the FBS for rushing plays at 40-plus yards.
  • When factoring in rushing plays that have gone over 60-plus yards, Louisiana has had five plays break the 60-yard barrier, and that ties them for fifth in the country.
  • Louisiana is one of six teams in the FBS that have had a running play go over 90 yards on the season, joining Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, TCU and North Texas.  And the Ragin' Cajuns are one of two Group of Five schools to have had a run go over 90 yards.
   TAKEAWAY HAPPY
  • Louisiana had three takeaways in the game against South Alabama, including senior defensive back Deuce Wallace's first-career interception on South Alabama's first possession of the game.  That was the first time that Louisiana opened the game on defense with a interception on the opponents first play and first drive of the game since 2016 at ULM.
  • The Ragin' Cajuns added two fumble recoveries to the mix, giving Louisiana three takeaways in a game since taking three away from New Mexico State in 2017.
    FAMILIAR FACES UP FRONT
  • Over the 11 games that Louisiana has played this season, the Ragin' Cajuns have had the same starting five offensive linemen.
  • From left to right, juniors Rico Robinson (tackle), Ken Marks (guard), Cole Prudhomme (Center), Kevin Dotson (guard) and Robert Hunt (tackle) have all anchored the Louisiana offense.
  •  It is the first time since 2014 that Louisiana has had the same starting five offensive linemen through the first 11 weeks of the season.
  • Louisiana is one of two teams in the conference that has had the same five starters in the same five positions on the offensive line this season, the other being ULM.
  • Louisiana is one of six teams in the FBS that have had the same starting five on the offensive line this season.  The others are Washington State; Ole Miss; Illinois; Hawai'i and ULM.
    LOUISIANA'S POWERFUL RUSHING ATTACK
  • Louisiana ranks third in the conference in total rushing yards (229.3 average yards per game) and in the FBS the Ragin' Cajuns rank 20th in average yards per game.  When considering average yards per carry, Louisiana is averaging 5.9 yards per carry and that puts them in the top-15 in the FBS, coming in at 12th.
  • In terms of ranking runners in the NCAA Top-100, Louisiana is one of two teams, the other being Oklahoma, that have three rushers ranked in the Top-100 and have three rushers with over 600 yards rushing so far this season.
  • The Ragin' Cajuns have scored 28 touchdowns on the ground, and that puts Louisiana in the Top-20 in the FBS sitting tied for 17th in touchdowns scored.
   SCORING AMONG THE CONFERENCE'S BEST
  • In the conference, Louisiana sits second in scoring offense, averaging 33.9 points per game and they have scored the second most touchdowns in the conference with 50 total touchdowns scored.
  • In terms of total offense gained, Louisiana ranks third in the conference sitting at 448.0 average yards per games and the 50 offensive touchdowns scored, gives Louisiana the most offensive touchdowns scored in the conference.
