2019 Season (Senior)
A key contributor to Louisiana’s rushing attack and as a kick returner, Calais appeared in all 14 of the team’s contests and made seven starts…Earned First Team All-Conference honors as a return specialist and Third Team All-Conference honors as a running back and for all-purpose yards…Also picked up All-Louisiana First Team honors as a return specialist…Finished the year ranked second on the squad with 886 yards on the ground and six touchdowns…His rushing total was the eighth most in the Sun Belt…Eclipsed the 100-yard mark three times in 2019…After recording an 83-yard touchdown run against ULM (Nov. 30), he became the second player in program to have three 80-yard rushes in his career along Jason Cherry…He finished the ULM game with 107 yards, his third, 100-yard performance of the season, and a touchdown…Calais broke out a 27-yard touchdown run in the first quarter against Troy on Nov. 23, the score that officially broke the school record for the most rushing touchdowns in a single season…Following his performance against Arkansas State on Oct. 17 in which he rushed for a season-high 144 yards and scored two touchdowns, Calais was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the second time he has earned the honor in his career…Calais got a plethora of his rushing yards in that contest from his 80-yard touchdown run, which is the tied for the 12th-longest rushing score in school history…His only other multi-touchdown game came against Texas Southern…Went over 100 yards on Sept. 7 against Liberty when he carried the ball eight times for 111 yards…Added 10 receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown, which came on Nov. 2 against Texas State…Led the league in kick-return average with 28.5 yards in 19 attempts…In the team's first meeting with Appalachian State on Oct. 9, Calais returned four kicks for 109 yards, while his season-long return of 60 yards came against South Alabama on Nov. 16…Also led the team, ranked seventh in the Sun Belt and 64th nationally in all-purpose yards with 106.7 yards per game…Invited to the 2020 NFL Combine.
