Ragin' Cajuns, Fighting Blue Hens set to face off for first time on gridiron
MOBILE, Ala. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team competes in its eighth consecutive game and 15th overall when it battles first-time FBS member Delaware in the 27th 68 Ventures Bowl on Wednesday at Hancock Whitney Stadium.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPN. Clay Matvick (pxp), Max Browne (color) and Alyssa Lang (sideline) will provide the commentary.
Fans in the Lafayette area can listen to the game on Hot 107.9 FM, 103.3 FM The Goat and 1420 AM, along with a worldwide audience on the Varsity Network app. Jay Walker (pxp), Cody Junot (color) and Dawson Eiserloh (sideline) will be on the call. Bowl Season Radio will also be available for a national broadcast on SiriusXM Channel 84 with Mike Grace (pxp), Chad Pilcher (color) and Randy Kennedy (sideline) providing the call.
Louisiana (6-6) returns to where its current four-game win streak began after defeating South Alabama on November 1. The Ragin' Cajuns, who were 2-6 overall before their 31-22 win, added wins over Texas State, Arkansas State and ULM to extend their Sun Belt-leading streak of consecutive bowls earned.
The Ragin' Cajuns, who return to Mobile for the postseason for the first time since a 27-17 win over Miami (Ohio) in the 2019 LendingTree Bowl, face a Delaware (6-6) squad that earned a bowl berth in its first season at the FBS level after a history as a national FCS power. The Fighting Blue Hens earned their first-ever bowl bid with a 61-31 win over visiting UTEP in the regular-season finale.
