Flynn Leads @RaginCajunsGolf On Opening Day Of Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational

Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational Leaderboard

PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii – Freshman Charlie Flynn notched his second career round in the 60s as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team finished the first day of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational in seventh place on Sunday at the par-72, 7,223-yard Princeville Makai Golf Club.
 
The Ragin' Cajuns notched a round of 3-under par (285) in the first round to mark the second opening round under par this season for the squad.
 
No. 11 Pepperdine leads the field with an 18-hole score of 15-under (273), while Josh Seiple of Ole Miss sits atop the individual leaderboard after notching an opening round of 65 (-7).
 
Flynn Posts Strong Opening Round
 
Flynn matched his career low round on Sunday carding a 69 (-3) in the opening round of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational to finish the day in a tie for 12th overall. Flynn had just two blemishes during the round with five birdies.
 
Elston Under Par
 
Senior Triston Elston also notched a round under par in the first round with a 71 (-1). Elston has posted a round of par or better in three of his last four rounds and has 18 in his career.
 
Second Round Pairings
 
Louisiana is paired with Cal State Fullerton, Louisville and Sam Houston State for the second round. Play begins at 1 p.m. CT with a shotgun start. Live scoring for the tournament is available on Golfstat.com.
