Cajuns Wrap Up West Coast, South Alabama Trips

Louisiana back in action next Saturday at LSU Alumni Gold
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Sprinter Hanoj Carter clocked a time of 10.48 seconds in the 100-meter dash to post the finish of the day for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team as it wrapped up its weekend on the West Coast on Saturday at the Beach Invitational, hosted by Long Beach State.
Louisiana, which sent a select list of individuals to the West Coast for the Mt. SAC Relays and the Beach Invitational, also completed competition on Saturday as pole vaulters Kimberly Rushford, Alexa Johnson and Bailey Daigle at the South Alabama Invitational in Mobile, Ala.
The Ragin' Cajuns will return to action on Saturday (April 22) when it travels to Baton Rouge to compete in the LSU Alumni Gold Meet at Bernie Moore Track Stadium.
BEACH INVITATIONAL
Carter posted a sixth-place finish for Louisiana after posting a season-best time in the 100-meters. Stanley Limoh and Matt Rice each competed in the 800-meters for the Ragin' Cajuns with Limoh finishing 15th overall (1:51.66) and Rice 28th (1:52.61).
Kayla Thompson posted the best finish for the Ragin' Cajuns women's team, finishing 15th overall in the 100-meter dash (11.86) while placing 32nd in the 200-meters (24.64). In the women's 1,500-meter run, Lindsay LaGarde clocked a time of 4:45.72 to finish 64th overall.
Freshman Damon Guidry competed in the men's high jump for Louisiana, finishing 13th overall after clearing the bar at 6-8 ¾.
SOUTH ALABAMA INVITATIONAL
Rushford cleared a personal-best 11-11 ¾ to finish fifth overall for Louisiana in the women's pole vault with Johnson finishing eighth (11-5 ¾) and Daigle 11th (10-11 ¾).
