Brown Rallies To Claim 5-2 Win Over Ragin' Cajuns

Louisiana to host Southern Miss on April 1
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team picked up a pair of hard-fought 7-6 victories to claim the doubles point while Arthur Libaud posted a three-set victory at No. 1 singles, but Brown University claimed the remaining five singles matches on the day for a 5-2 victory on Saturday at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Louisiana (11-9) took a 1-0 lead after claiming the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2. The tandem of Eric Perez and Coleman Wahlborg posted a 7-6 (10-6) win over Anthony Arocho and Peter Tarwid at No. 1 with Libaud and Jamie Fraser improving to 13-3 overall after earning a 7-6 (10-4) victory over Lucas Da Silveira and Charles Tan at No. 2.
Libaud, who won his team-best 12th singles match of the season, claimed a 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (10-7) victory for Louisiana over Tarwid at No. 1 singles, but Brown (11-5) would claim the remaining five singles matches in improving to 9-2 overall on its home court.
Louisiana will return to action on Saturday (April 1) when it hosts Southern Miss in a 1 p.m. match at Cajun Courts.
