Louisiana set for final homestand against Bobcats, Mavericks

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team returns home for its final homestand of the regular-season when it plays host to Texas State in a Sun Belt Conference game on Thursday at the Cajundome.
 
Tipoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m., and is the nightcap of a doubleheader that starts with the Louisiana-Texas State women's game at 5. The game can be heard in the Lafayette area on KHXT 107.9-FM and ESPN 1420 AM, along with worldwide on the RadioPup app. Live video and statistics will be available at RaginCajuns.com.
 
Louisiana (18-11, 8-8 SBC) extended its win streak to four games after posting a 77-62 win at Appalachian State on Monday. The win for the Ragin' Cajuns marked the eighth win on the road this season – the most since winning nine road games in 1999-2000.
 
Frank Bartley scored a game-high 21 points to lead Louisiana with Jay Wright and Bryce Washington adding 15 points each. Washington, the SBC leader in rebounds (11.3) and field goal percentage (.597), pulled down 12 rebounds against the Mountaineers to notch his 20th double-double of the season.
 
Bartley leads the Ragin' Cajuns, and is eighth in the SBC, in scoring at 15.9 points per game with Wright (15.2), Washington (13.6) and freshman Justin Miller (10.8) next in scoring. Wright, the team's lone senior, is the SBC leader in steals (1.9) and is fourth in assists (4.1).
 
After facing Texas State (17-11, 10-6 SBC), the Ragin' Cajuns will close out the regular-season on Saturday against league champion UT Arlington. The game is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN3.
