METAIRIE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team is set to face No. 10 LSU in the annual Wally Pontiff Jr. Foundation Classic on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Zephyr Field.
 
The game can be seen live on Cox Sports Television (CST), channel 37 on Cox and channel 35 on LUS, with Lyn Rollins calling the action and Ronnie Rantz adding color. Fans can also listen the contest on ESPN 1420-AM as Jay Walker will call all of the action. Live stats are available on RaginCajuns.com.
 
The Ragin' Cajuns (12-8, 3-3 Sun Belt) are coming off of their first series loss of the year dropping two of three to Little Rock over the weekend. The Cajuns opened the series with a 15-4 victory before falling 10-5 and 7-1 to the Trojans in the final two games.
 
Louisiana will give sophomore right-hander Evan Guillory the ball against the Tigers. Guillory is 1-2 with a 2.95 ERA in 21.1 innings pitch. The Jennings, La. native has posted a quality start in his last two outings with all four of his starts this season coming away from M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.
 
Offensively, the Ragin' Cajuns are hitting .285 with 35 doubles, six triples and 14 home runs. Joe Robbins continues to pace the squad with a .370 average. Robbins has a team-best three triples, five home runs and 16 RBI. Brenn Conrad is second on the squad with two home runs and 12 RBI.
 
The Tigers lead the all-time series with a 52-24 record having won the last three meetings. LSU has won the only two meetings in the Wally Pontiff Jr. Classic including an 8-6 decision a year ago.
 
LSU (14-5, 1-2 SEC) also dropped its first series of the year last weekend to Alabama. The Crimson Tide claimed the first two games of the series 6-0 and 4-3 before the Tigers closed out the weekend with a 7-5 comeback win on Sunday. LSU is 3-1 in midweek games this season.
 
Freshman right-hander Cole McKay will make the start for the Tigers. McKay is making his first career start and has yet to factor in a decision making four appearances on the year with a 5.40 ERA.
 
LSU is hitting .305 as a team averaging 7.6 runs per game with 41 doubles, nine triples and 13 home runs. Antoine Duplantis has a team-best .397 average with six doubles and 10 RBI, while Beau Jordan has a team-high 18 RBI with a .354 average.
 
Following the matchup with LSU, the Cajuns will return to Sun Belt play as they will host Georgia State in a three-game series that starts on Thursday at 6 p.m. with the squad having Easter Sunday off this year. The two teams will meet at 6 p.m. on Friday before closing out the series on Saturday with an 11 a.m. start time due to travel for the Panthers.
