MyAcadianaTV To Broadcast 12 Baseball/Softball Dates In 2016

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns athletic department and MyAcadianaTV have renewed a broadcasting partnership that will have the station televise eight baseball and eight softball games during the 2016 season, officials announced Thursday.
The agreement will mark the 16th year that MyAcadianaTV will televise Ragin' Cajuns baseball games and the 12th season covering Ragin' Cajuns softball. All games are tentatively scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN3.
The package will begin on Sunday, Feb. 21, when the Ragin' Cajuns baseball team hosts Sam Houston State at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.
Coverage resumes on Saturday, March 5 when the Cajuns host Sacred Heart in non-conference action. Other games on the baseball package will include the Sun Belt Conference home opener against Little Rock on Friday, March 18 as well as Northwestern State (April 5), Louisiana Tech (April 27), Appalachian State (May 8) and ULM (May 20).
The softball package will begin on Saturday, March 12 with a doubleheader against Sun Belt Conference foe South Alabama at Lamson Park before resuming on April 2 with a pair of games against Texas State. The Ragin' Cajuns will also have Sun Belt doubleheaders against Appalachian State (April 23) and ULM (May 7) broadcast live.
