Men's Tennis Welcomes 65th-Ranked Islanders to Town

Cajuns (4-4) host No. 65 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (7-2) Wednesday at Cajun Courts
LAFAYETTE -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team continues its schedule against ranked opponents with No. 65 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi coming to Lafayette this Wednesday, Feb. 17 for a 2:30 p.m. first serve.
The Cajuns (4-4) split a pair of matches against No. 66 North Florida and No. 50 Rice last week. Freshman Arthur Libaud is off to a strong spring season with a team-leading five wins in singles play. Sophomore Vlad Kramarov enter this week right behind Libaud wth four victories in singles.Â
Senior Edgar Lopez and junior Eric Perez lead the Cajuns in doubles wins with three.
The No. 65 ranked Islanders own a 7-2 overall record this spring and have won two of their past three matches. Ricard Mayagoltia leads Texas A&M-CC with seven victories in singles play, while Kevin Bettendroffer and Paul Cook have both been winners of six singles matches this season.Â
Mayagoltia and Guillaume Rauseo have proven to be the team's most successful doubles team with a 6-1 record through nine matches. Mitchell Cook and Paul Cook have teamed up for a 4-0 record in doubles play.Â
