Combined 11 UL games part of 125-game schedule
NEW ORLEANS – A combined total of 11 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's and women's basketball games during the 2016-17 season are part of the largest television and digital package announced by the Sun Belt Conference on Wednesday.

The announced games for Louisiana are part of 125 games set for live telecasts. All games will be available on WatchESPNand the ESPN app. ESPN3 will live stream regular-season games and all games of the men's and women's basketball championship, while ESPN2 will air two nationally-televised men's conference games in January and the championship game of the men's basketball tournament.

"For a third consecutive year we have been able to offer unprecedented access to Sun Belt Conference men's and women's basketball games to our student-athletes, universities and fans, thanks to our ongoing relationship with ESPN and our new agreement this year with the American Sports Network," Sun Belt Conference Commissioner Karl Benson said. "Our member institutions have been at the forefront in improving the quality and quantity of men's and women's college basketball broadcasts during the past few years, and we are excited to once again air our men's basketball championship game on ESPN2 in an exclusive window on Selection Sunday."

Two nationally-televised men's games on ESPN2 will be selected 21 days out from Jan. 2 and Jan. 16. Louisiana's Jan. 2 contest at Little Rock and its Jan. 16 home game against Georgia State are possible selections.

The American Sports Network will also air seven men's basketball conference games during the 2016-17 season, its first year televising Sun Belt Conference men's basketball. Included in the seven-game package is Louisiana's Jan. 23 matchup at UT Arlington. All games aired on the American Sports Network will also be available on WatchESPN and the ESPN app with no blackout restrictions.

Doubleheaders against Sun Belt Conference rivals Troy (Feb. 11) and UT Arlington (March 4) at the newly refurbished Cajundome are part of the ESPN3 package for Louisiana along with a Feb. 4 doubleheader at Georgia State and the Feb. 18 doubleheader at ULM.

Louisiana's Feb. 23 women's game and the Ragin' Cajuns Feb. 27 men's game at Appalachian State will both be streamed on ESPN3.

Sun Belt men's basketball will continue to have a prime viewing slot on Selection Sunday with the championship game of the men's basketball tournament set to air at 1 p.m. CT on ESPN2 on Sunday, March 12. All other games of both the men's and women's basketball championships will stream live on ESPN3.
