Louisiana Golf Continues Spring Season At Lone Star Invitational

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team continues the 2015 spring season at the sixth annual Lone Star Invitational this week. The two-day tournament is scheduled to tee off on Monday at the par 72, 7,247-yard Briggs Ranch Golf Club.
Teams will play 36 holes with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday, followed by 18 holes with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday. Live scoring is available on BirdieFire.com.
Host UTSA, Bowling Green, Central Arkansas, Houston Baptist, Louisiana, New Mexico State, North Texas, No. 44 Ohio State, Rice, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Southeastern Louisiana, Texas State, No. 12 Texas Tech, UT Arlington and UTEP make up the 16-team field.
The Cajuns will feature Haraldur Magnus, Christian Verrougstraete, Fernando Cruz Valle, Thomas Strandemo and Ross Davis in the lineup this week. Magnus and Cruz Valle are each making a team-best tenth start as Magnus paces the squad with a 73.00 scoring average through 24 rounds.
Magnus is coming off of his seventh top 25 finish of the year and 15th of his career shooting 1-over (217) at the Border Olympics.
Louisiana is paired with UTEP, UT Arlington and Sacramento State for the first two rounds of the event.
