Cajuns Hold Onto No. 19 Ranking in Mid-Major Top 25 Poll

LAFAYETTE -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team remained at No. 19 in this week's Women's CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 Poll, released Tuesday evening.Â
The Cajuns' 61-42 victory over UC Santa Barbara Tuesday morning was not included in this week's rankings.Â
The Cajuns, who are off to their second-consecutive 7-1 start and have won their last five games, defeated Dillard Dec. 12 in their only game last week. Their 84-36 win tied the largest margin of victory (48 points) by the program in a game at the Cajundome.
Louisiana will go for six straight wins at Louisiana Tech this Saturday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m.

The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast and Western Athletic.
