NICELAND, FL -- Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis senior Jake Wynan fell to Chase E. Perez Blanco, 6-1, 6-4 in the fourth round of the USTA Futures in Niceland, Florida Monday afternoon.
Wynan began the day winning round three, 6-2, 7-6 over Mitchell Thomas Mcdaniels and needed one more win to advance to the USTA main draw to compete for a world ranking later this week.
"The USA Futures are some of the toughest competition in the world," Ragin' Cajuns head coach Mark Jeffrey said. "There is no shame in making it to the last round of qualifiers. We look for Jake to qualify for next week's futures in Pensacola."
The USTA Futures begin this Thursday, November 12 in Pensacola, Florida.
