In the Flight 2 singles bracket, Wynan defeated Troy's Daniel Bustamante to take the flight, 6-2, 1-6, 10-4.

The Flight 3 singles bracket saw Wahlborg and Vlad Kramarov both advance to the championship round. Wahlborg defeated Xavier's (La.) Tushar Mandlekar, 6-1, 6-4, moving him to the semfinals. Kramarov topped UNO's Nicolas Kramer, 6-2, 4-6, 12-10 to move to the semfinal round. Wahlborg bested Troy's Vaclav Slezak, 6-1, 6-1, while Kramarov eliminated Oleksander Podgursky of Nicholls State, 6-1, 6-0 to move to the championship round.

Kramarov and Wahlborg will face one another in the Flight 3 championship round in Lafayette Tuesday, Oct. 27.

"I thought the tournament was an overall success going 15-3 and winning two out of three flights in singles," Ragin' Cajuns head coach Mark Jeffrey said. "This is the result we were looking for to get some of these guys going for the spring.

"We have been training hard and it is good to see the players getting rewarded."

The men's tennis team is in action next at the UTSA 10,000 Futures in Niceville, Florida from November 5-12.
