LAFAYETTE - Looking to extend its two-game win streak, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team heads east to Mobile to face South Alabama on Thursday at the Mitchell Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. The game marks the second of a three-game road swing for the Ragin' Cajuns (13-5, 5-4 Sun Belt), which will conclude on Saturday at Texas State.

Last Time Out
- Jaylyn Gordon scored eight of her game-high 18 points during a 21-4 run in the first half and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns earned its fifth win in the past six games with a 63-56 Sun Belt Conference victory over Georgia State on Saturday at the GSU Sports Arena.
- Keke Veal and Robbie Brown scored 14 points each as Louisiana (13-5, 5-4 Sun Belt) forced 20 turnovers and outscored GSU (8-10, 3-5 SBC), 23-6, over the final nine minutes of the first half.
- Louisiana recorded its 13th game of the season where it forced 20 or more turnovers in a game. Kia Wilridge, Gordon and Veal combined for nine of the Ragin' Cajuns 11 steals in the contest while holding Georgia State to 22-for-60 (36.7 percent) from the floor, 12-for-22 (54.5 percent) from the free throw line and 0-for-15 from behind the 3-point line.
- The Ragin' Cajuns, which was held to 17-for-52 from the floor for the game, went 25-for-35 (71.4 percent) from the free throw line including 18-for-25 in the second half.

A Look at the Jaguars
- South Alabama (3-15, 0-9 SBC) enters the game versus the Ragin' Cajuns after dropping its 13th-straight contest, falling 70-59 at Appalachian State last Thursday night.  
- USA shot 40 percent from the field, but turned the ball over 25 times – the 10th time this season, the Jags have had 20 or more turnovers in a game.
- The Jaguars' leading scorer, Breanna Hall, returned to action versus the Mountaineers after missing South Alabama's previous game versus Arkansas-Little Rock due to injury.
- Hall leads the team and ranks third in the conference in scoring with 15.7 ppg, while also ranking among the league leaders in free-throw shooting (fourth – .812), three-point shooting (second – .425) and three-pointers per game (Tied-second – 2.3).  She has also scored double figures in 26 of her last 30 games dating back to the '13-14 season.
- A pair of freshmen rank behind Hall offensively for the Jaguars.  Marquita Daniels is second on the club with 7.4 ppg, while Chyna Ellis is close behind her with 7.1 ppg.  Ellis also ranks 10th in the conference in rebounds (6.8) and her 1.7 blocks per game are tied for third in the Sun Belt.
- During its current 13-game skid, the Jaguars have been held to 53 points or fewer eight times and are shooting 34.4 percent from the field, while averaging 51.1 ppg.  USA's opponents are averaging 67.5 ppg and shooting 43.6 percent during that same time.

Series History
- South Alabama leads the all-time series, 34-13, with Louisiana winning the last three meetings in the series.
- The Ragin' Cajuns claimed a 65-58 win in the previous meeting on Jan. 17 in Lafayette.
- Louisiana posted a 65-60 victory in last year's game in Mobile behind 19 points from Brooklyn Arceneaux and a career-high 11 boards from Kia Wilridge.

- In league play, the Cajuns lead the conference in steals per game (10.3), turnover margin (+7.6), and opponent turnovers per game (20.9), and have held teams to 60.1 points per game to rank third behind UALR (44.6 ppg) and UT Arlington (58.6 ppg)

Guards in the Sun Belt Rankings
- Guards Jaylyn Gordon, Keke Veal and Kia Wilridge are making several appearances in the SBC top-10 individual rankings
