LAFAYETTE, La. – With less than 60 days to the start of the 2014-15 basketball season, ticket renewals for the upcoming Ragin' Cajuns men's and women's basketball seasons are currently underway with a Sept. 29 deadline for season-ticket holders to secure last year's seats at the Cajundome.
Fans have multiple ways to renew their ticket package, including in-person renewals at the Cajundome box office, online or by calling the box office at 337-265-2357.
For fans wishing to purchase new season tickets, a $100 deposit will reserve receive seat priority after the Sept. 29 renewal deadline. That deposit will count toward the total cost of the season tickets.
Courtside seats for the men have already sold out, but other ticket availability still exists. Seats in both the 100 and 200 levels along the sideline are available for $230. Also, 200-level seats along the curves of the Cajundome are open for $140 apiece for the season. All 300-level seats are priced at $140.
Other packages include the Family 5 Pack for $375, and group corporate tickets are available for $75 apiece with a minimum purchase of 15 seats.
Packages for the men will provide the public with the chance to see the Ragin' Cajuns host non-conference games such as Jackson State on Dec. 3 and a Dec. 10 date with in-state rival Louisiana Tech, in addition to a 10-game Sun Belt Conference slate that includes each of the league's 10 teams making a trip to the Cajundome.
Bob Marlin's Ragin' Cajuns are coming off a 23-12 season that included the Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. The Ragin' Cajuns defended their home court a year ago, picking up 13 wins at the Cajundome, the most home wins for the program in 23 seasons.
Marlin has justifiably high hopes for 2014-15 with nine players back from a year ago. That group is headlined by all-Sun Belt first team choice Shawn Long who averaged 18.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore.
On the women's side, tickets can be purchased in a package $86 that includes all 16 women's games, including each of the season's 12 doubleheaders with the men.
The Ragin' Cajuns open the home season in the Cajundome on Nov. 18 meeting with Xavier (La.), and also make a one-game trip back to Earl K. Long Gym to host Louisiana Tech on Nov. 22. before returning back to the Cajundome for the remainder of the slate. Other non-conference games of note include Sam Houston State on Nov. 6 and Mississippi State on Dec. 17.
Head coach Gary Brodhead is entering his third season at the helm of the Ragin' Cajuns, having increased the team's win total in each of his first two seasons. He will welcome back nine letterwinners, including all five starters from a team that earned the No. 7 seed in last year's Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
