Cajuns Set For Rematch With Bobcats In Bracket Final

MOBILE, Ala. – The second-ranked and top-seeded Ragin' Cajuns baseball team will face fourth-seeded Texas State in a rematch from Wednesday's winner's bracket game on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at Stanky Field for the right to go to the Sun Belt Championship game.

The Cajuns (51-7) have to win just one contest against the Bobcats (30-27) to advance to the championship game, while Texas State will have to win twice against Louisiana on Saturday to advance.

Should the Bobcats win the 9 a.m. contest, the two teams would play a second game at 4 p.m. The Sun Belt Conference championship game is slated for 1 p.m. on Sunday.

All remaining tournament games can be seen live on the Sun Belt Network with Lyn Rollins making the call and Ronnie Rantz providing color. Cajuns games can also be heard on KPEL 96.5 FM with Jay Walker providing play-by-play.

Senior Cody Boutte will make the start for the Cajuns on the mound boasting a 7-0 record with a 2.77 ERA. Texas State will counter with Dylan Bein. The right-hander is 1-4 on the season with 2.52 ERA in 50 innings including six starts.
