CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Ragin' Cajuns women's tennis team is set to play a pair of matches at the Patriot Point Tennis Complex in South Carolina this weekend facing ETSU at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday before closing out the trip against the College of Charleston at 10:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.
"This is another great opportunity for the girls to gain more experience against two good opponents," head coach Greg Harkins said. "We are grateful to the College of Charleston for hosting us this weekend. We continue to get better each time out. If we can continue to do that we will get some good results."
The Cajuns (4-6) ended a four-match skid sweeping Prairie View A&M 7-0 on the road last weekend. Louisiana is 2-4 away from Cajun Courts this season.
Freshman Alexandra Way is tied for the team lead in wins with a 4-4 record in singles competition this spring.
The Buccaneers (3-7) have lost three straight contests dropping a 6-1 decision to No. 47 Virginia Commonwealth over the weekend. Anna Gerbasi paces ETSU with a 6-2 record in singles.
The Cougars (3-3) will face Stetson on Saturday before Sunday's match. The College of Charleston is led by Brooke McAmis with a 4-2 record in singles playing at the top two spots in the lineup.
After the Cajuns road trip to Charleston, S.C., the squad will host Stephen F. Austin on Friday at 2 p.m. in the first of three straight matches at Cajun Courts.
