LAFAYETTE, La. - After a week off for the Christmas holiday, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team returns to action Sunday when the squad hosts Jackson State in the final non-conference game of the season at 4 p.m. at the Cajundome.Â
Last Time Out
- Alcorn State ended the second half on a 10-0 run to force overtime, but Louisiana outscored the Lady Braves 10-3 in the extra period to pull out a 64-57 road win to improve to 7-1 on the season
- Sophomore guard Jaylyn Gordon led the Cajuns with 22 points, shooting 11-of-12 from the free-throw line, in a team-high 39 minutes of action
- Junior guard Kia Wilridge added 17 points in just 21 minutes on the floor
- Louisiana totaled 22 points off 18 ASU turnovers while holding the Lady Braves to 29.6 percent shooting for the game
