WE ARE LOUISIANA
• There is confusion among the national sports organizations as how to refer to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.
• Our official name is the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, but much like our opponents around the country, we simply go by Louisiana when referring to our athletic programs.
• Although we proudly refer to our University with its full title for academic purposes, we ask that Louisiana, Ragin' Cajuns or Cajuns be used to refer to us athletically.
CAJUNS ARE UNANIMOUS SUN BELT CHOICE
• The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team were the unanimous choice to repeat as champions as the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll was released in July.
• Louisiana, which finished 9-4 last season and clinched its second league title overall and its first since 2005, garnered all 11 first-place votes by the league's head coaches. Arkansas State was picked to finish second in the poll with South Alabama picked third, Troy fourth and ULM fifth.
• Texas State was picked to finish sixth in the poll with league newcomers Appalachian State and Georgia Southern picked seventh and eighth, respectively. Idaho, Georgia State and New Mexico State rounded out the 11-team field.

CAJUNS IN THE SUN BELT CONFERENCE

• The title, its second crown in 13 years as a member in the Sun Belt, marks the sixth time that Louisiana has won a conference title in its 50th season playing in a conference.
• The Ragin' Cajuns previously won the Gulf States Conference title in 1970, the Southland in 1976, the Big West in 1993 and 1994, and the Sun Belt in 2005.
SETTING A STANDARD
• In addition to the first-ever, back-to-back-to-back seasons appearing in a bowl game, Mark Hudspeth has helped Louisiana to tie the school record for wins in a season with nine.
• Prior to the 9-4 mark in 2011, the Cajuns set the school record for wins with a 9-2 record in both 1921 and 1976.
• The 18 wins in Hudspeth's first two years, and the 28 victories in the first three-plus seasons, are the most in a two and three-year period in school history.
HARRIS RUSHING UP THE CHARTS
• With 942 yards rushing in 2013, Alonzo Harris became the fourth runner in school history to total, 2,500 yards rushing in a career.

CAJUN FIELD SCORING RECORD FALLS
• Despite a home season-low 28 points against ULM in the 2013 regular-season finale, Louisiana broke the Cajun Field record for points scored at home in a single season with 236.
• The Ragin' Cajuns scored 40 or more points in each of the first four home games, including a stadium-record 70 points in the home-opening win over Nicholls State on Sept. 14. The 229 points broke the old mark of the 216 that was scored in five games in 1995.
• The Ragin' Cajuns have scored over 200 points at home in a single season three times in school history, the first coming in 1923 when Louisiana tallied 206 points in five games. The home average of 47.2 points a game broke the previous stadium record of 43.2 set in 1995.

The game will be played yearly at the newly renovated Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla., the weekend before the Christmas holiday.
• The Cure Bowl will be the Sun Belt Conference's fourth primary postseason bowl game. The Cure Bowl is the second bowl game to join the Sun Belt's lineup in the past year (the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl was announced in August 2013) and the Sun Belt has grown from having just one primary bowl game from 2001 through 2010 to now having four primary postseason bowl game tie-ins.
