Houston: Attended Houston in Fall 2010 and played four games as a true freshman, making one start. . . came off the bench to complete five-of-eight passes for 84 yards and a TD at UCLA (Sept. 18). . . started in a 42-34 win over Tulane, completing 19-of-28 passes for 174 yards. . . also had a TD passes vs. Mississippi State (Oct. 9) and at Memphis (Oct. 30).

High School: Rated fifth-best dual threat quarterback in the nation by Rivals.com in 2009-10 and 11th best player in Louisiana by Rivals.com. . . ranked as the No. 60 athlete in the nation by ESPN. . . first team all-state quarterback and first team all-district selection at Capitol High in Baton Rouge. . . was 135-of-221 for 2,140 yards with 20 touchdowns as a senior. . . finished an injury-plagued junior season with 1,257 yards passing, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions, adding 500 yards rushing and another four scores. . . was an honorable mention all-state, all-metro and all-district selection as a sophomore.
