PLAY BALL
Louisiana continues its current seven-game road trip traveling to Hammond, La., to meet Southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. Louisiana seeks to halt its current three-game losing streak, which began last weekend at Middle Tennessee, and end a nine-game skid to SLU.

LOOK OUT FOR TYLER
Tyler Girouard carries an eight-game hitting streak into this week's action. Girouard is Louisiana's hottest hitter in March, having hit .463 since the beginning of the month (19-of-41) with 12 runs scored and 15 RBI.

KEEP AN EYE ON DEX
Dex Kjerstad posted a multi-hit outing in each of the Cajuns four games last week and hit 10-for-20 (.500). Kjerstad finished a double shy of the cycle in the Cajuns last midweek game as his 4-for-6 performance vs. Southern included a home run, triple and two singles

SWEEPSTAKES
In the first two weekends of Sun Belt Conference action, Louisiana has swept the opposition (ULM) and been swept by the opposition (Middle Tennessee).

THE SLU SERIES (Louisiana leads 57-46)
The two programs meet for the 104th time. The 100th meeting took place back on March 9, 2011 at Alumni Field in Hammond. UL is 13-11 vs. SLU under Tony Robichaux. SLU has won nine of the last 13 meetings. The Lions began their current nine-game series win streak with a 14-4 win at Alumni Field on April 23, 2008. Louisiana's last win over SLU came on March 5, 2008 (W, 3-1) at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field. Series resumed in 1999 after a 10-season hiatus from 1989-1998.

CAJUNS IN THE MIDWEEK
The Ragin' Cajuns sport a 3-1 record in midweek contests, all coming against Louisiana schools (Northwestern State, LSU, Nicholls State and Southern).

A “PACK” OF HITTERS
Louisiana already has 12 hitters reach double digit hits, ranging from 10 to 26 hits. Six hitters have produced double figure RBI.

NEXT STOP: NASHVILLE
This weekend (March 29-31), the Cajuns fly to Nashville for the second straight week to take part in a Sun Belt series. This time, the squad travels north on I-65 to Bowling Green, Ky., to face WKU.

PUTTING STREAKS TOGETHER
Louisiana posted three win streaks of four or more games in the 17-3 start. The Cajuns went 22 games into the season before dropping back-to-back contests.

The Cajuns wrap up the seven-game road trip with a weekend series at WKU (March 29-31)...Louisiana is coming off its first series loss of the season, falling in all three games at Middle Tennessee last weekend...The Cajuns opened the season with a series victory in each of the first five weekends...Caleb Adams leads the squad with six home runs, all coming in the month of March...Louisiana's 21 home runs eclipse the total of 18 hit during the 2012 season; the Cajuns surpassed the 2012 total in the season's 21st game...Sam Carriere picked up his 10th hit of the season on Friday at Middle Tennessee, giving the Cajuns their 12th player with double digit hits through 21 games...Matt Hicks enters this week needing one (1) save to tie the school career record of 12 saves set by Kraig Schambough (2002-05) and tied by Justin Robichaux (2007-10)…Hicks is two (2) saves short of the single season record of nine (9) set by Justin Robichaux in 2008… Cody Boutte tallied five strikeouts for the fourth time in six starts during his outing at MT on Sunday...Boutte leads the Cajuns pitching staff with 26 strikeouts... The Ragin' Cajuns hold a +41 run differential over the opposition outscoring foes 153-112 and owns seven victories of six-plus runs.
