LAFAYETTE, La. – The 75th ranked Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis is set for a three-match road swing this weekend starting with a rematch with No.54 Miami (Fla.) in Coral Gables, Fla. on Friday at 1 p.m. CT.

After the match against the Hurricanes, Louisiana will then face 62nd ranked North Florida on Monday at 1 p.m. CT before closing out the road trip with a match at Central Florida at 1 p.m. CT on Tuesday.

“We want to continue the process of improving both mentally and physically on this road trip to Florida,” head coach Mark Jeffrey said. “Our guys understand what they need to focus on and they are already looking ahead at the job at hand.”

Miami (Fla.) comes into the match with a 4-2 record including a 4-3 win over the Ragin' Cajuns at the ITA Kick-off Weekend in Columbus, Ohio on Jan. 26. The Hurricanes only losses on the season have come to No.4 Ohio State and No.11 Florida.

North Florida holds a 1-3 record going into Friday and has a contest with South Florida before the matchup with the Cajuns, while Central Florida has a 2-3 record on the year.

“We are going to play three tough teams on the road over the next five days, Jeffrey mentioned. “We look at this as a great opportunity to prepare and get better.  It will be interesting to see which Cajun steps up and really takes the bull by the horns.

“Our guys love to battle. Actually we love the battle. These are going to be three teams we are going to enjoy battling with.”

Freshman Jake Wynan is leading the way for UL as he has had a phenomenal freshman campaign currently holding a 14-1 overall record with a 7-1 mark in singles play.

Fellow freshmen Hunter Johnson and Edgar Lopez pace the squad with three wins this spring. Johnson is the only undefeated player to see action in singles for the Cajuns.
