LAFAYETTE – Due to field conditions and impending inclement weather in the Houston area, the Ragin' Cajuns baseball team's non-conference game at Houston on Tuesday night has been canceled and will not be made up this season.

Louisiana (23-27) and Houston (17-30-1) were scheduled to complete a midweek, home-and-home series and the contest was the Cajuns' final regular season road game.

The Cajuns will now begin preparations for the season's final Sun Belt Conference series vs. La.-Monroe, which runs Thursday-Saturday, May 17-19 at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field. All games of the series are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Both UL and La.-Monroe will look to land a spot in the Sun Belt Conference Championships next week in Bowling Green, Ky. The Cajuns are currently tied for ninth place in the SBC standings, one game behind the Warhawks who are in a three-way tie for sixth place. The top eight teams will advance to the league's tournament.
