Men's Tennis Drops Tough 4-3 Decision

After a hard fought match, Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team came up short on Saturday at Cajun Courts, falling to Tulane by a score 4-3.

The Cajuns are now 6-11 on the season while Tulane draws even at 10-10.

The Green Wave started off hot, sweeping the doubles matches for the first point.

Singles play was a back-and-forth battle with three matches going to a third set to decide the outcome.

The Cajuns went 2-1 in the three-set matches with Yanick Mandl claiming a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory over Joe Young at the no. 2 singles and Carl Alberton grabbing a 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 win from the no. 5 spot.

Carlin Murray, playing no. 1 singles, won his match 7-6, 6-4 but it was not enough as the Green Wave won at the no. 3, no. 4 and no. 6 positions.

The Cajuns will now face Southern Miss in the home finale on Sunday. First serve is set for 1 p.m. CT at Cajun Courts. Admission is free to the public.
