Rain Cancels Saturday Baseball

The second attempt to begin a weekend series between Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns and Southern Miss at Pete Taylor Park in Hattiesburg, Miss., was washed away by rain.
Saturday's scheduled 6 p.m., contest, an attempt to recover Friday's postponed series opener, has been canceled.
Rain in south Mississippi has washed out the first two days of the series and now the Ragin' Cajuns and Golden Eagles will attempt to salvage at least two games of their weekend series with a 2 p.m., Sunday doubleheader at Pete Taylor Park.
Louisiana enters Sunday's twinbill with a 6-3 mark and carrys a four-game win streak into "The Pete". Southern Miss is 7-2 this season and undefeated through five games at home.
