Texas A&M Completes Sweep of Cajuns

Louisiana dropped to 0-2, while Texas A&M clinched an season-opening victory.
The first doubles match in the books was at the number two position as Texas A&M's Alberto Bautista and Colin Hoover defeated UL's Ted Nilsson and Carlin Murray, 8-2.
The Cajuns' number one doubles tandem of Yanick Mandl and Brandon Farine tied Alexey Grigorov and Junior Ore at 4-all, but Grigorov and Ore won four out of the next five sets to win the contest, 8-5.
Louisiana earned a win in the third doubles spot when Oscar Pachon and Carl Alberton combined for an 8-4 victory over the Aggies' Jeff Dadamo and Austin Klores.
Texas A&M swept singles action with Grigorov dispensing of Farine, 6-4, 6-2 in the third spot. Bautista defeated Nilsson, 6-0, 6-1 at the four position. At the top spot, Dadamo defeated Murray, 6-3, 6-4.
In the first of the final three matches, Ore defeat Pachon, 6-3, 6-2 at the five slot.
Alberton won the first set for Louisiana with a 6-3 victory over John Lewis. However, Lewis rallied back to win the next set 6-4, then took the tiebreaker, 10-4.
Mandl dropped a 6-2, 7-5 decision to Hoover in the second slot as Texas A&M completed the sweep.
The Ragin' Cajuns take a 12-day break from action before visiting LSU in Baton Rouge on Thursday, Feb. 3. The match is scheduled for a 3 pm first serve.
