2010-11 Women's Hoops Schedule Revealed

The University of Louisiana women's basketball team released its 2010-11 season schedule on Saturday.
The schedule is highlighted by a home game with UAB (Nov. 20) and a trip to the Southern Miss Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 26-27. The squad has a stretch in December in which five of six games will be played at home.
"The schedule we have will be challenging and entertaining for our fans," said women's basketball head coach Errol Rogers. "We potentially may face four teams that made the NCAA Tournament last year in Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, Southern and UALR. Having 15 home games will give our fans many opportunities to come out and support us."
There will be doubleheaders with the UL men's basketball team at the Cajundome on Nov. 15, Dec. 19 and Feb. 24.

The Ragin' Cajuns begin the fourth campaign under head coach Errol Rogers at the Cajundome against LSU-Shreveport on Monday, Nov. 15. The contest marks the first of 15 home games in the 2010-11 season.
The first contest of the season at Earl K. Long Gym comes on Nov. 20 when Louisiana welcomes Conference USA-member UAB. That will be followed by the first road game of the season on Nov. 23 at Southern.
UL will spend the Thanksgiving holiday in Hattiesburg, Miss., participating in the USM Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 26-27. The Cajuns open tournament play against host-Southern Miss and meet either Kentucky or Murray State on Nov. 27.
December begins with five of the first six games at home. UL hosts McNeese State on Dec. 2 and Southeastern Louisiana on Dec. 5 at Earl K. Long Gym to begin the stretch. After a week off for final exams (Dec. 6-11), three home games in seven days wraps up the stretch, concluding on Dec. 19 against New Orleans at the Cajundome.
The Cajuns close out non-conference play on Dec. 21 in Hammond against Southeastern Louisiana.
UL begins Sun Belt Conference play on the road at Denver on Dec. 29. The conference-opening road trip wraps up on New Year's Day at North Texas.
The Sun Belt home opener is scheduled for Jan. 5 against Troy.
The Cajuns close out their home schedule with a three-game homestand Feb. 16-24. The home finale, against Denver on Feb. 24, will be played at the Cajundome.
The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will be held in Hot Springs, Ark., for the third straight season. The event is scheduled to run March 5-8 at the Summit Arena-Hot Springs Convention Center complex.
