Men Fall to South Alabama 4-3 in 2nd Round of HEB

The Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team lost its fifth match of the season by one point on Friday evening, losing to Sun Belt Conference opponent South Alabama 4-3 in the 46th Annual HEB Invitational hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The Cajuns (2-9) went 3-3 in singles play to force the doubles match. However, in doubles action the Cajuns lost 2-of-3, giving USA the point and the match 4-3.
In singles competition Tomasz Kryzszkowski knocked off Kuehne, Christian 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 3 position. At the No. 4 spot Mandl, Yanick defeated Bartsch, Hanno 4-6, 7-5, 6-4. Robert Voss was the other Cajun winner at the No. 6 hole, defeating Jairo Seur 7-5, 6-4.
In doubles action the team of Mandl and Murray were able to knock off Lucas Viel and Hanno Bartsch 8-4.
The Cajuns will resume action on Saturday as they take on the host team Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, a team the Cajuns lost to 4-3 at home earlier in the season.
