The Ragin' Cajuns track and field team finished fifth (men) and 12th (women) in its first indoor meet of the 2010 season at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Meet in Houston, Texas.
The men accumulated 56 points to obtain a fifth place finish out of 11 teams. The women put up 10 points for 12th place.
Leading the way for the men was Chris Roy who scored a second place finish in the pole vault with a jump of 5.10m (16 feet, 8.75 inches).
Also adding to the score were Antwain Keyes, 2.04m (6-08.25) and Jeffrey Vidacovich, 1.94m (6-04.25), finishing fourth and 12th respectively in the high jump. O'Daylon Thibeaux was the other top-five finisher for the Cajuns, finishing fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 14.30m (46-11).
On the women's side it was Jasmine Anderson who finished fifth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.72. Other top-10 finishers included Michon Meche who finished ninth in the 5,000m run with a time of 21:01.93. Also, Jasmine Manuel took home eighth in the long jump with a distance of 5.16m (16-11.25).
