• The Cajuns finished the 2008-09 season with a 1-7 record against teams from the state of Louisiana. In fact, UL has not had a losing record against state schools since the 2002-03 season. During the 2009-10 season, the Ragin' Cajuns will play nine games against teams from Louisiana. The Cajuns dropped their first game against the Pelican State, falling 62-51 to Southern.
• The 2008-09 Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team is comprised of 17 players. Of those 17 players, nine hail from the state of Louisiana.

WORLD VISION CLASSIC LEFTOVERS
Alexis Green recorded her third career double-double in Sunday's loss to Idaho at the World Vision Classic in Waco, Texas. The senior forward scored 18 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. For the tournament, Green averaged 14.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest over the weekend.
• With the 18 points scored against Idaho, Green reached the 500-point plateau for her career at UL. She has scored 513 points in 34 career games. Also over the weekend, she eclipsed 200 career rebounds (213).
• In the first game of the World Vision Classic against Lamar, Mercedes Johnson had a career night, scoring 22 points with 14 rebounds. It was the sophomore's second career double-double.
• Johnson sits one point shy of reaching the 400-point mark for her career.

LAST TIME VS. McNEESE (Dec. 2, 2008 in Lafayette - MSU won 56-46)
• Louisiana was powered by a pair of double-digit scoring efforts. Coming off of her lowest point total of her UL career in the previous game, Alexis Green rebounded to score at game-high 19 points. The junior was joined by Whitney Dunlap, who netted 10 points in the game for her first double-digit scoring effort of the season.
D'Mya Clay paced all players with 11 rebounds on the night.
• The Cajuns found themselves down nine points, 26-17, at the 17:42 mark of the second half. That's when the hosts began to slowly chip away at the Cowgirls' lead. The Cajuns (0-7) used a 12-0 run to take the lead, but McNeese State (3-5) countered with a 10-0 run of their own to take the lead for good.
• The Cajuns went scoreless until the 8:48 mark and McNeese took advantage and reclaimed the lead built in the first stanza.
• The iron was unkind to both squads in the first 20 minutes. Louisiana shot 17 percent (5-of-29) while McNeese was marginally better at 23 percent (7-of-31).
