MONROE, La. ? No. 6 seed Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns were handed a 4-2 loss from No. 3 seed Middle Tennessee in the first round of the 2008 Men's Sun Belt Tennis Championship. The loss eliminated the Cajuns from tournament play.
Louisiana won the doubles point backed by wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles position. The team of Arlen Domoney and Janusz Conradi defeated John Peers and Alex McCann 8-2 at No. 2. Jorge Delgado and Stefan Hawkins bested Joao Paoliello and Kyle Wishing 9-8 (10-8).
UL took a 2-0 lead after the No. 4 position was retired by MT's Chris Nowak.
The Blue Raiders (8-13) would then take the next four points and clinch the match with wins by Marc Rocafort, Morgan Richard, Alex McCann, and Joao Paoliello.
The Cajuns end the season at 7-12. Middle Tennessee advanced to face South Alabama in the second round.
