Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's & women's basketball will both enjoy their home opener on Wednesday at the Cajundome. The women tip-off at 4:30pm in the home debut of new head coach Errol Rogers.

Coach Rogers is trying to accomplish something that his three predecessors were unable to do ? win their home opener. Coaches Hall (0-3), Nix (0-4) and Searle (0-11) all needed numerous games just to get their first wins.
The women fell in their season-opener at Mercer by a final score of 72-61.

Onna Charles and Sonora Edwards both entered the season within sight of 1,000 career points. Charles is just 119 points shy, while Edwards needs 278 more points to reach the coveted plateau.
