LAFAYETTE-Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's soccer team will take their two-match winning streak on the road as they travel to the Sunshine State to take on Florida Atlantic and Florida International.

The Cajuns open the weekend with a 6:00 p.m. match against Florida Atlantic before returning to the pitch on Sunday afternoon for a match versus the Golden Panthers beginning at noon.

Entering the weekend, the Ragin' Cajuns have won two straight matches.  UL claimed a 4-0 victory over UALR and swept the weekend series with a 3-1 win over Arkansas State.

UL entered last season's matches against FAU and FIU with a two-match winnings streak.  The Cajuns won both matches against the Sun Belt's two Florida schools last year giving the Cajuns their longest conference winning streak in school history.

The Cajuns will look to repeat that performance this weekend.

UL had an exciting match against the Owls last season.  Tied at 1-1, Courtney Hofland got the ball in a break away and scored with just 31 seconds remaining in regulation.

Two days later, the Cajuns claimed a 3-1 victory over the Golden Panthers.  UL had goals from Dannae DeVahl, Callie Oliver and Taunya Geelhoed to easily claim the win.

QUICK HITS:

STREAKING: The Ragin' Cajuns enter the weekend on a two-match winning streak.  The Cajuns have the opportunity to tie the longest winning streak in school history this weekend.

SCORING FRENZY: After ending the month of September being shutout three consecutive times, the Ragin' Cajuns offense has come alive in the month of October.  The Cajuns have scored seven goals in the last two matches.  Courtney Hofland netted a pair of goals in the Cajuns' 4-0 victory over UALR.  The pair of goals marked the first time a UL player had scored multiple goals since Kristina Nadolski scored two goals in a 5-0 win over Nicholls State on Sept. 19, 2004.

SHARING THE WEALTH: Ever since Scot Wieland took the reigns of the UL soccer program the Ragin' Cajuns have had multiple players who could put the ball in the net.  This season is no different.  Twelve players on the Cajuns roster have netted at least one goal this season.  The Cajuns roster consists of 28 players of which two are goalies and six play primarily on defense.
