Hey!

Well, the season has come to an end. This last week of traveling together will always be a memory. Although we missed staying home for Halloween, Alabama definitely made up for it.

As we were finishing up eating at one of the restaurants in Alabama, the power went out. We all just sat there in total darkness wondering what was going on. However, it seemed like our team was the only ones who cared as the others and the staff was just going on with their routine like nothing was wrong. People were still going up to the buffet to get food and waiters and waitresses were calm asking if everything was ok with our food. I couldn't believe it! I guess it must happen all the time.

On Sunday night, each room of girls was given a pumpkin to decorate. There were many different items that had to be on the pumpkin, such as aluminum foil, candy, straws, forks, basically anything you can think of not to be put on a pumpkin, it had to be on there. Anyway, there was a competition. Whichever room had the best-looking pumpkin and the best story or poem to go with it would win. There were so many different ideas to do. One room made a blowfish out of the pumpkin. Another made the pumpkin go through an extreme makeover. Another room transformed the pumpkin into one of the African drummers. Even though ours was the best and we definitely spent the most time on it, Meredith [Smith] and I won third place. We made our pumpkin Chef Boyardee! Our rhyme was the JAM!

On Halloween we went to the outlet mall. There we saw many little trick-or-treaters going around to each store for candy. Some even had their parents dressed up. Now, that was funny.

Anyway, Tuesday night was the conference banquet. Let's just say the banquet fired us up to play the #1 team the next morning. Although we didn't win any awards, I felt our team was definitely the best looking team. Afterwards, we all had a good time taking many pictures and watching Rachel [Rozelle] perform her Tootsie Roll dance.

Even though we had an agonizing lost on Wednesday morning against North Texas (2-3), we all believe that years to come will bring us more victories. We will now set the bar higher for new freshmen and for the team.

Until next season… Geaux Cajuns!!
