Earns All-Louisiana Cross Country Honors

LAFAYETTE, La.- Ragin' Cajuns senior Natalie Gillis earned All-Louisiana honors by being named to the 2003 Louisiana Sports Writers Association Women's Cross Country Team after leading the Lady Cajuns to a South Central Regional berth.
The
Prairieville, La., native led the Lady Cajuns in every race
she entered and placed in the top ten in four of her six
races this season.
Gillis captured her first career title by winning the Northwestern Invitational title with a time of 19.27.47 in the 5K race.
She earned Sun Belt Conference runner of the week honors after a third place finish at the LSU Invitational and finished the year by placing second at the Sun Belt Conference Championships and a 64th place finish at the South Central Regional Championships.
Gillis will conclude her senior year by competing as a distance runner on the Ragin' Cajuns Track and Field team which opens the Indoor season on Jan. 17 at the McNeese State Invitational in Lake Charles.
