New Mexico State clawed back to enjoy a 13-12 edge midway into the half.? The Aggies stretched the lead to 27-19, but a 14-7 run by the Cajuns cut the deficit to 34-33 at the end of the first half.

UL Lafayette will play a pair of conference road games next week, beginning with a contest at North Texas on Thursday.
