Christy Alford, a native of Baton Rouge, currently serves as the Assistant Director of the SAAC and is the Academic Counselor for baseball, men’s basketball, softball and volleyball.
She has worked in higher education for over fifteen years in Enrollment Management, Career Services, and Academic Advising.
Alford graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education before completing her Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel from the University of Tennessee.
Other occupations held outside of higher education, include teaching second grade and working as a human resources coordinator.
Alford also participates in community service through the Junior League of Lafayette and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana.
